NE-01 · The Brain · half one of two — the data

The brain is the data half.

No agents here. This page is only about getting your business's knowledge into a shape a model can actually use — ingested, cleaned, structured, queryable. The engine is the other half, and it comes second on purpose.

  • ingestion
  • cleaning
  • docs → structured records
  • single source of truth
  • search & reporting

Fig. B-1 Knowledge → records · scroll to trace it

Schematic: knowledge scattered across email, drive, CRM, portals and spreadsheets is ingested along clean traces into one indexed brain, which can then be queried for search, reports, records and agent context. EMAIL DRIVE CRM PORTALS SHEETS SCATTERED · UNINDEXED · SOME OF IT ONLY IN YOUR HEAD THE BRAIN STRUCTURED · INDEXED SEARCH REPORTS RECORDS AGENTS ASK YOUR BUSINESS ANYTHING — GET THE RECORD IT CAME FROM

CH 01 · THE MESS

Your knowledge is scattered by default.

Contracts in a drive, decisions in an inbox, numbers in a spreadsheet, history in a portal with no export — and the operating logic in your head. Nobody built it wrong; it accumulated.

Stage 01 — as found. Five sources, no index, nothing that can answer a question across all of them.

CH 02 · INGESTION

We ingest it and clean it.

PDFs and scans become records with fields. Folders become a system. Duplicates collapse, dates normalize, entities get resolved — the same document referenced three ways becomes one record. Tribal knowledge gets written down.

Stage 02 — the pass. The jittery traces straighten into clean, converging lines.

CH 03 · STRUCTURE

What comes out is queryable.

One indexed source of truth: search across everything at once, reports that pull from real records, and — later — the context an agent needs to act instead of guess. Plain, versioned files on your own server.

Stage 03 — the brain. The block fills; ask it anything and the answer carries its source.

Next: what runs on it →

NE-01 · §01What goes in

The mess, as found.

Documents, inboxes, spreadsheets, exports, folders — and the operating knowledge that lives only in your head.

Where there's no API, we build the bridge: a custom extraction pass for scanned and photographed documents, or a server that exposes a legacy system as callable tools. Both are things we've shipped before — see the work.

NE-01 · §02What comes out

A business you can query.

Ask your business anything — get an answer with the record it came from.

Search and reporting across everything at once: contracts next to invoices next to the email thread that explains them. Valuable on its own, before any agent runs.

NE-01 · §03What you keep

Yours. Plain files. Portable.

The brain is version-controlled plain files on your own server — not rows in someone else's SaaS.

Walk away any day and it walks with you. No lock-in is a design decision, not a promise: the format itself makes leaving easy.

The seal

  • S1Lives on your server — one client, one box
  • S2Plain, portable files — no lock-in
  • S3Yours to keep, agent or no agent
